FREMONT, CA (May 12, 2016) –Ichor Systems, a global leader in the manufacturing of gas and chemical delivery systems, acquired Ajax Custom Manufacturing of Union City, CA, on April 11th, 2016.
Ajax is a 50+ year old family owned business that has historically been a plastic component supplier to major customers in the semiconductor capital equipment market. It is recognized as one of the key vendors that can deliver precision machined parts as well as assemblies and modules to this market. The combination of Ajax’s capabilities for producing machined plastic parts, thermoforming and welding, meshed with Ichor’s manufacturing and assembly capabilities, will make Ichor the premier supplier in the market.

The deal with Ajax expands Ichor’s semiconductor capabilities and provides new opportunities to expand its industry leadership. The acquisition fits with the company’s value proposition of improving time to market for its customers.
With the acquisition, Ichor will increase its global manufacturing footprint including a Class 10K clean room to its existing facilities.
