Job Description: 

 Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Responsible for providing general HR support to assigned business unit(s), including but not limited to HR areas such as staffing, training, compensation, benefits and employee relations
  • Provide guidance to business unit(s) in the areas of performance management, discipline, compensation, benefits, etc.
  • Analyze situations and conduct research to resolve moderately complex HR problems
  • Manage HR projects and/or programs as assigned
  • Provide consultation to managers and employees on various day to day employee relations issues
  • Effectively communicate and administer HR policies and programs
  • Manage staffing for assigned business unit(s)
  • May directly supervise one or more employees within the department
  • Maintain compliance with all local, state and federal employment laws and regulations

Desired Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Ability to exercise use of professional concepts and company policies to solve problems in multiple HR areas
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent people skills with the ability to evaluate, coach, and motivate employees
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local laws and regulations
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and bend, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.

Desired Education, Certifications, and Experience:

  • 7+ years human resources or related work experience
  • B.S. or equivalent work experience, or any combination of education and experience
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
